# The province of Hainaut
September 16, 2008
The Province of Hainaut supports the Circuit Franco-Belgian
From the time she was dreaming, our Province has. She puts up a real sports department by optimizing the already existing material. As a reminder, the Provincial Youth (PJS) touches the school population kindergarten, primary and secondary all networks and various associations by way of sports, culture, fun and creative. It is each year nearly 200,000 young people! It also manages the Staff College, which trains facilitators in playgrounds and resorts.
The Provincial House of Sports (formerly STEP) offers on its site in Havre, quality infrastructure: a sports hall with a total area of 3.000m2 with private motor skills, fitness and climbing wall, golf outdoor sports and an internship of 62 beds. She welcomes the day schools, sports clubs at night and hosts school sports (rugby, basketball, taekwondo, soccer and football for beginners ages 5-8).
"If these institutions demonstrate a high efficiency, I consider it appropriate to put them together into a single structure and unifying" argues Richard Willame, MPP in charge of Youth and Sports.
Clearly, "Province of Hainaut Sports and Youth" now comprises eight departments: the SPJ, the MPS, the Sports Association Provincial Education (ASEP), Sport for All (HFA), the Senior Schools, Centres Accommodation (The Wolf in Saint-Vaast and Le Caillou Roisin), Great Events and cell administration and finance.
Supporting elite
Through its new department "Major Events", the Province of Hainaut will support the elite clubs and sport events taking place on its soil or through it. The hut is the 68th edition of the Circuit Franco-Belgian, who has two steps 100% hainuyères (Mouscron, Mouscron and Tournai-Havre) and the white jersey patron to reward the best Hope.
Who knows, future champions may be hiding among the participants?
Richard WILLAME
MLA in charge of Youth and Sport
